Image of Bwlch Cowlyd (Cairn(s)) by GLADMAN

Looking down upon the prehistoric landscape around Bwlch Cowlyd from the hostile summit of Creigiau Gleision.... there are a number of cairns/cists in the immediate locale, perhaps suggesting a focus upon the quartzite outcrops of Cregiau Gleision? Or Pen Llithrig y Wrach itself? The striking 3,000ft dragon back of Tryfan can be seen beyond, centre.

Bwlch Cowlyd
Cairn(s)

I tried in vain to find this cairn and a nearby Roman hut circle, I think I went too far up the hill,
but I was rewarded with a brilliant view of llyn Cowlyd reservoir, and a strange looking rock formation called I think Maen Trichwmwd, I hope it translates as the hawk as that is what it most resembled to me.
