Visited 25th May 2004: Tan-y-Coed is a large ploughed down barrow just to the south of Henriw Standing Stone . It's easier to spot than the stone because it's not obscured by field boundaries. This post appears as part of the weblog entry

The NMR (available through Coflein ) describes Tan-y-Coed:A much ploughed-down barrow, 23m in diameter and 1.0m high, from which 'a few small pieces of bone' were removed 'at some time before 1870'.
