Everstorfer Forst Nord 2 is a simple dolmen that is still partly embedded in the earth and, in Sprockhoff’s day, was completely hidden within its round mound. It consists of a narrow chamber capped by a comparatively thick capstone.
Unlike most of its neighbours, this tomb was never fully excavated out of its covering mound — it still sits half-buried, giving a rare sense of what these barrows looked like before modern excavation stripped them bare.
It is the second tomb of the northern group, 100 m west of Everstorfer Forst Nord 1. Looking west from here, the long barrow of Everstorfer Forst Nord 3 already comes into view in the background.
