The Northern Group (Nordgruppe)

Situated deeper in the quiet woodland northwest of the village of Barendorf, the Northern Group offers a more secluded and mystical atmosphere.

It comprises the remaining ten megalithic tombs of the complex, which are arranged in a fascinating, centuries-old linear alignment that stretches for several hundred meters through the trees.

This section showcases a impressive variety of architectural styles, including elongated earthen mounds enclosed by rectangular stone borders and larger communal passage graves.

Inexplicably, the Northern Group does not have its own designated car park. However, you can park your car at the starting point of the Northern Group (at Everstorfer Forst Nord 1), on the edge of the forest.
