Rampart during excavation in 2015, showing vitrified material at the top and beam slots in the wall.
The view of the east face of the stone. The west face features a 2’ by 1’ 10 Latin cross. This is a Cross Slab, rather than a Standing Stone.
The cairn, looking north east. The top of this cairn affords views over most of Caithness – it’s worth visiting for this reason alone.
Seen from the north east. The fort occupies the top of the hill.
Seen from neighbouring Ben Dorrery. You can make out the chambered cairn at the top.
