This stone to the south-west is not shown on the map but looks like an outrider.

The woods in the distance are at the bottom of Garrow tor.

Coming at Leaze from King Arthurs hall I met no resistance from cattle or farmers, infact I felt relaxed enough to linger and tarry long enough for the fog to lift and fall and lift again.
I wasnt sure what to expect with this stone circle as my computer was busted and I did little research into where I was going. I was suprised and delighted to find it a good one, yes some stones are gone and a few have fallen and a long hump seperates east from west, but the stones are big enough and there’s enough of them to offset these drawbacks.
The rocky tor to the southeast is a good place to look over to the stones and is the shortest route back to the road, allthough it takes you perilously close to Leaze farm, perhaps youll be lucky like me and have some fog to hide behind.

Leaze remains off limits to the casual visitor to the moor. I have found an easy way in but with the fields full of lambs at the moment I was not going to trespass. At least now I have a decent lens I can get a photo of the circle from both the east and west.

Tricky one to get to due to fences, stone hedges and cattle.

I was visiting Arthurs hall and it was too close to miss out.

Much more impressive than the ruined circle on Arthurs downs.

I’m not sure on the rights of access but I didn’t cause any damage or frighten any animals. There is gate to the field from the west, (which I found on the way out).

Couldn’t get too near to this circle, mainly due to the presence of a herd of long horned cattle which scred the s*** out of me! Couldn’t see any udders and long grass which soaked my trousers. Its there though, but you have to climb over fences to get there.
