Thank you, it was a bit hit and miss with the cloud-cover but there was the odd break like this. Basically a link between two main bus routes. Started at Craig-y-Nos, followed Beacons Way to Penwyllt, then up the tram track to Fan Gyhirych, down to Bwlch y Duwynt, up Fan Nedd to this cairn, down to Maen Llia, then angled sort of NE for a long and shallow ascent of the ridge to Fan Dringarth (the planned ascent of Fan Llia was precluded by my knackered unfitness and also the time), then Beacons Way round Gleisiad to Storey Arms, which was horrible underfoot on that bit, especially as it was getting dark. Out of curiousity I've just worked out the mileage and discovered it was about 13.5 miles, which probably explains why I was so tired by the end of it.	Posted by thesweetcheat 10th December 2017ce
