It would appear to me from the chosen site that the soaring, elegant Crib Goch (part of the Snowdon Massif, top right) was/is primary focus for this stone circle.... and not the brutal, more or less featureless southern bulk of Y Glyderau. Interestingly, however, the intriguing natural rock formation - proto temple? - Castell-y-Gwynt does crown the skyline behind the viewer. The stone circle lies approx one third of the way(ish) along the near shore of Llyn Cwmfynnon.
