Dyffryn Mymbyr (Stone Circle) by GLADMAN An appreciation of the magnificent landscape setting of this stone circle, looking from Glyder Fach. The monument (apparently - although I've visited the site I was ignorant that it was actually 'kosher') lies approx a third of the way along the near shore of Llyn Cwmfynnon, the lake bottom right of image. A large Bronze Age(?) cairn is sited above Llyn Pen-y-Gwryd (bottom left of image), the Nant-y-Llys long cairn being located extreme centre left. Nant Gwynant is the fine valley in line of sight, Llanberis Pass heading far centre right beneath the mighty footings of Eryri... Snowdon itself.

I hope to get to this circle sometime (Postie) subject to busted knee, funds and weather. It is in a superb location isn't it? thesweetcheat Posted by thesweetcheat
