Stone Circle

Tilquhillie (Stone Circle) by LesHamilton Just a few metres south of the entrance gate to Tilquhillie Castle, in a gap in a dyke, stands this stone, regarded as a possible flanker from the former Tilquhillie Stone Circle. If so, it has clearly been moved from its original position.

Nice photo Les. I've been meaning to have a look at this place since reading about it in the crowns book. Parking looks a bit tricky round there? thelonious Posted by thelonious

Parking. Almost opposite the track to Tilquhillie Castle (about 20 metres to the east on the opposite side of the road) is what appears to be a rough forestry track leading into the trees. There's enough space on the verge, though a tad rough, to draw a car in off the track itself. LesHamilton Posted by LesHamilton
