Looking down the north west wall, Mill Loch sneaking into the photo.
NR6559652426, looking towards Gigha’s point Creag Bhan.
The north side, looking towards the mainland, of NR65596 52426.
The larger of the 2 cairns, NR65596 52426, west side looking north east.
‘The Road Goes Ever On’ – the road goes south, I head north.
Looking west, to the north west – the Paps of Jura.
I often wonder if this stone is trying to say something.
A view like this makes it all worthwhile.
From beneath the top, could get no further – fell into a swampy bit and my legs found the remnants of a barbed wire fence.
My attempt from the east, faced head high brambles, ferns, gorse and various other jabby stuff.
From the south, some natural defence, aside for gorse and brambles, can be seen.
Marching down the road, north west, to the next equally untouchable dun, this on the north west.
The stone is supposed to be in amongst the trees behind, I did look and ended up in a bog. Now the stone appears to be next to a track near houses on the south side of Ardminish.
To left in the scraped brown bit, another 3 cups.
Some cup marls are visible near the blurry bit. The brown section has 4 cup marks.
The missing stone, re-found, has 15 shallow cup marks.
Its like the brambles are holding the stone captive, pretty sure they tried to catch me as well :-)
Like a few stones in Gigha, situated right next to the road.
Look closely you see the end stone. In the murk, a fish farm.
The cist cover is held up by the north east stone, another stone lies beneath.
