The brownstown “arteficial mound” which in my opinion, is most likely a mound barrow of sorts, considerring its proximity to other bronze age burial mounds in the area and its general shape aligning with the that class of monument, on a frosty november morning

Described as a ring-barrow on the modern os map, although i think this must be a mistake, (still likely a barrow i.m.o tho), here’s the os description: KD028-002---- : Barrow – ring-barrow : CURRAGH (Ballysax East ED)
Description: A small earthen mound (H. c. 2.3m – 3m; upper surface diam. c. 5m) is badly damaged by heavy vehicle traffic at N and S. Traces of a possible outer bank are visible at the NE. (O’Riordáin 1950, 276: Site V; scaled section NE-SW Plate XXVII)
