I spied this stone unintentionally whilst driving to a nearby recording studio and since then haven't been able to find out anything about it. But exist it does. At Pitcaple leave the A96 go thru Whiteford and turn towards Wartle at Durno.

The stone stands in a field to the east 50 meters from the road. I parked opposite the farm walked down the track then back uphill to avoid annoying the horses. It stands almost 6 feet high by 2 feet wide and has superb views of Bennachie.
