On three sites rather far apart from each other I've noticed a similarity. It's the sacred representation of Fertility's Goddess.
One is on Cavour's Rock, the high-relief sculpture called "Pera d'la Pansa" (Belly's Stone), and clearly represents Mother Earth's pregnant belly.
Another is in Chisone's Valley just in front of the multiple cup marked stone called "Cro da Lairi" (Thief's Pit). And because of this the engraved stone-table, though is so spectacular, assume a secondary role as offering's support. Subordinate to the rock where the divinity is represented.
This one is rougher and has a strange engraved figure in it. That shape could have contained some kind of statuary enclosure now gone.
The last one is on "La Grande Roccia" (The Big Rock). The side of the Rock where the sculpture lies is in front of a sacred spring.
Again here the "message" is confused. The sculpture could have been partially destroyed and the possible statuary enclosure carried away and lost.
But still evident here (as on Chisone's Valley) the round engrave that delimit the lower part of the belly.
...and do I have to explain wich side I'm on?
I'm working for Her...of course.
