The main, and solely accessible, circle at Glebe. It is a beautiful site but differently located from how I remembered it.

The end section of the trackway in the visitor centre looking east. The climate controlled room has shutters at both ends, the timbers remaining in the dark outside of tour times.
The boardwalk heads off west into the bog with the bulk of the ancient trackway beneath it. Extensive bog restoration groundwork has been carried out in the vicinity to encourage regrowth to pre-harvesting conditions, ensuring preservation of the timbers.
The ‘back’ of the visitor centre. The trackway enters, or emerges from, here. The majority of the remaining trackway is now reburied, under the modern boardwalk.
The trackway is still in situ, as it was found – the visitor centre was constructed over and around it.
Three stones can be seen from the barrow a short distance from the water’s edge.
I was looking for something else and this turned up. It’s a collection of images from what I believe was the stone circle. These are probably from about 2000, with a 3 megapixel camera. Quite good for the time. I did happen upon this circle about 5 years earlier when I was just a hillwalker. I wandered right into it in the fog without realising what it was. I had no idea of any megaliths outside of Stonehenge at the time, so it was a bit of an eye opener. There were several knee high standing stones with more recumbents, and a curious holed stone. All very strange to me at the time, but it got me hooked. These images show what was left in 2000, with a broken holed stone and just the one upright.
I have been back several times since but with no sign of anything surviving? It was there, but like Brigadoon, it’s now gone.
I was cycling past and saw this fine pair. There were cows in the files but I managed to avoid them.
The grave, as seen from the small car park on site.

Unfortunately, the structures and dimensions could not be made out clearly because of the tall grass.
