You are correct. It is spooky. I used to live in Winsley (A couple of Miles from Conkwell) as a kid and those woods always freaked us out. We camped over one might but could not handle it so left around 1am. :D

When me and Subbi went last year it was very strange.
We found the remains of the Conkwell stone circle and other Bronze age features.

The guys who were camping in that stone circle couldn’t had know it was there.

That area is called no-mans land for a reason, I'm sure of that.

Haven't been back since, so don't know if they every came back either, or whether they had just abandoned everything in the night.........

That whole area is ancient and must had supported hundreds of people before the Romans arrived.
