damned if I can decide whether to go or not

Well if you don't, perhaps you can put your mind to likely spots where those of us who can't face the journey could go to see if the moonset down here is significant. I don't understand the technicalities but presumably if you stand at one ancient site and the moon sets behind another on the relevant day, that would be potentially significant?

Aw, come on you two! Why not come up together? How much is a flight from [insert name of nearest airport here]?

Go ooon - you know you wanna! Look at the fantastic company you'll be in! ;o)

Nigel - if you can get flights, cars and accom booked, we're staying at a bungalow in Callanish village and you're welcome to chill with me and us our bungalow as a retreat when you get tired.. I'm not going out stomping around or anything stupid like that. Sitting looking will be my most favoured activity and it'd fun for us to do this together. Bring yer paints!

That's a good point; there must be lots of places where the June full moon will look beautiful (the Vale of Pewsey springs to mind), and was it on TMA where I read recently that Glastonbury Tor would also offer something a bit special?
