'Treebeardish' ... what a wonderful word; it does in itself sound like an ancient site. I understand from previous posts that this elder tree has proved hard to thwart, cut it back and it just grows stronger than ever. I would imagine that removing it completely would mean disturbing the stones. tjj Posted by tjj

Good to see you finally got there TJJ and a lovely photo to boot. Just in time too as later in the summer these stones are almost completely lost in the vegetation and the surrounding crop! scubi63 Posted by scubi63

Thanks Scubi, (also Rhiannon for mentioning it recently) you were definitely the inspiration for me going there. The late afternoon light was lovely, I took some photos that show the unripe maze crop shining in the sunlight, didn't want to post too many photos though as there are already some superb images for the barrow. tjj Posted by tjj
