According to Coflein, the base of this 'marker cairn' is indeed of prehistoric ancestry: "A more recent cairn, 2 metres by 2 metres, 1 metre high, built on top of earlier Bronze Age cairn" [J. J. Hall, Trysor, 8th February 2013]
