The deeply riven eastern flank of the mountain from cairn-less Fan Fawr, substantial gullies feeding the Ystradfellte Reservoir, just out of shot bottom left. The cairn is situated to the left of the ridge, similar monuments gracing Fan Nedd and Fan Gyhirych rising beyond in serried rank. Fan Hir can be seen top right, the 'long peak' rising to further Bronze Age sites upon Y Mynydd Du.
