Ben Uarie

Cairn(s)

Ben Uarie (Cairn(s)) by GLADMAN The most obvious feature of the cairn now-a-days is the small muppet shelter, within which is the OS trig pillar. More perceptive visitors will find much more intriguing details lay beneath the feet.

I'm ashamed to admit I've been here for the trig and didn't know or think about the cairn. Thanks for making me see it with new eyes Gladman. Your trip photos are just fantastic (as usual). thelonious Posted by thelonious

That's happened numerous times to me in Wales.... just made me want to go back and have another look, step back and look from different angles... and then it seems so bloody obvious. My opinion - naturally - but pretty sure about the footprint. What was going on around that is most intriguing, however, and no doubt open to a lot more interpretation.
