Long shot showing the echoing line of (is it Carn Ingli?) to the capstone of Pentre Ifan...
This is the badger hole with its spill of gleaming white chalk, reminding one of the time when the barrow was built.
The two outliers of the Nine Barrows.....
To the right the last barrow of the seven on the hill, in front two Priddy barrows making the 9 barrows and then in the background the Ashill line of barrows.

Silbury with WKLB to the left, and EKLB behind the camera, with WKLB facing towards Overton Hill
A not very good photo of the notice board for the gorge, which is a SSI....
Summer green in this season of snow, the path going towards the narrowest part of the gorge, with the rare nettle leaf bellflower on the left.
Stones and trees
This photo shows the walk up from the sea, also shows the island called Ynys Deullyn, on which, so Julian Cope says, there is the mound called the Grave of Samson’s Finger. The legend of Carreg Samson is that the capstone was lifted by one finger of this saint!
Where three roads meet. Puddingstone on Ugley Green. The right-hand part of the stone has a flat base and may once have stood upright with the left-hand side being the top.

Barbury reconstruction of Iron Age round house or Wren round house. (Detail of wren carvings on wood beam)
The reconstructed Iron Age round house, burnt down 27th October 2008.
It is an extraordinary, enigmatic stone, and there must be a reason why it is embedded in the church wall.
The incredibly long, longbarrow, with the old track gouged out near its centre
Incredibly ‘Silbury’ like, these three remaining barrows are also made of chalk
These are the banks near the farmhouse.
Large inner (22 acres) area of the enclosure; Moss has given up and gone to sleep in the heat.
‘Rabbit’ stone
One of the many thousands of bags, seemingly made of woven polypropylene, used for the dividing walls within the Atkinson/BBC tunnel.

The river as it curves into the ditch around Silbaby
Silbaby with the Kennet running at its foot in February 2007
The large squared capstone on its single orthostat facing out to sea.
The deep pit behind the orthostat, is walled here, most probably recently.
Strange rock formations make Foel Drygarn an impressive place for bronze age burials
Jagged rocks on this outcrop facing Carn Meini in the misty distance, the three cairns are behind the camera.
The narrowest part of the gorge, the path goes on under the bush.

In the valley below St.David’s Camp are lines of stones presumed to be ‘celtic field’ systems, this is the most obvious one.
