Approaching the fort
Looking east to the fort and off into Shropshire, The Wrekin is on the right on the horizon.
zooming the western entrance
Quite a nice round (ish) cairn.......
Looking across the round cairn (thanks to Kammer for the prompt) to Moel y Golfa. Note the south-western entrance beyond to right.
North-eastern arc..........
Southern flank, looking approx north-east (ish)
Powerful southern flank, looking towards Moel y Golfa to approx south-west.
And the opposite entrance to north-east, looking towards Bulthy Hill. Beautiful....
The lovely inturned entrance to south-west of the enclosure... approaching steeply uphill.
According to Coflein there’s a round cairn, 12m in diameter and 1.0m high, within the defenses of Cefyn y Castell (SJ30531332).
