The Green Bridge, another amazing natural feature intervisible with the fort (the sloping tip of which can be seen in the background).
Elegug Stacks, a little way west of, and visible from, the fort.
Viewed from the west. The cliffs drop almost 50m to the sea.
Outer defences.
There are some impressive earthworks defending this site.
Looking across the fort interior, while G/F makes a hasty retreat from the high winds and sheer cliffs combination.
This enormous hole right in the heart of the site makes walking around the interior in a high wind feel a bit scary.
Looking out across the lines of defence from the inner rampart.
The inner sets of ramparts, with helpful sheep scale.
No shortage of lines of defence here.
