Trencrom Hill Well

Sacred Well

Fieldnotes

Not to be confused with the Giant's Well, this lies to the NW of the hill fort and is reached by a narrow path through a rock outcrop.

This is a striking well, consisting of a square hole cut into the base of an enormous granite outcrop. I can't even imagine how this was constructed! The water is lovely and clear.
