Thank you PTP309, that's great! It's quite a big and lumpy bit of stone, and looks good in the sunshine. Maybe I was fearing it would be something much smaller - it's a good size. I guess if I was being pessimistic it could be some sort of grave slab... there's some sort of vague carved circle at the top don't you think? But it's interesting that it's really been left pretty bumpy and natural on that side. Raising one's hopes for it being of older origin. But whatever it is I like it, and someone else evidently liked it well enough also to put it up like that. Thanks for the photos :)	Posted by Rhiannon 6th January 2024ce


Thanks It looks quite weathered and does look quite aged, but im no expert. In any event someone put it up before the ground was consecrated or when it was functioning as a church grave yard. Which is interesting in both ways.	Posted by PTP309 6th January 2024ce
