This looks an excellent place, has it been restored? drewbhoy Posted by drewbhoy

It was excavated by William Copeland Borlase in the 1870s and he reconfigured it rather than restore it, adding the passageway or gap between the inner and outer parts, and covering up some of the internal cists, so it's appearance is not really authentic. It is still possible to get an idea of how it would have originally looked though, with a bit of imagination. Chris Bond Posted by Chris Bond
