This place looks amazing. Quite a construction. I know Galloway fairly well yet this wonder had completely passed me by. Brilliant. Howburn Digger Posted by Howburn Digger

This is as close as I got in ‘19 thanks to dodgy map reading and trying to combine with photographing a special steam train on the line nearby.. no worthwhile pix. There are some interesting small cairns hidden in the gorse etc thereabouts. Fine site. Well done. spencer Posted by spencer

Tx Howburn Digger/spencer. Cruise Back Fell is readily accessible via the Southern Upland Way at Cruise Farm. A short detour to the N leads to Cruise E & W Cairns, to the S leads to Littlepark Cairn & Cruise Back Fell Fort. The fort was a nice surprise, better preserved than I expected. Posted by markj99
