Sunset above Carl Wark, seen from Burbage. They’ve gone, so have a fair few of the stones..but the sky remains. They saw sights like this, and now do we.

My sort of sky. Wonderful moment captured spencer.
Cheers...was fieldwalking out thataway this afternoon to get some medicinal fresh air and, sadly, forum antidote. Mist this time. Ended up going in a circle when I thought I'd stuck to a tangent off a track. Got outta there. Yes, a m getting a compass....
Medicinal fresh air - it does feel like that. I hate staying in. I quite like walking in circles :-)
: ) t'wasnt that bad, just I had my head down looking for stuff, looked up and thought 'eh? how come Stanage's sprouted a shooting butt?' Bearings rapidly regained, lesson learnt. Could've done without the bootfulls of peaty water though. I'm outside every day in that air..wasn't an intentional career move, but was the best, really. Sod the money.
Completely agree, beautiful sky. Some how this winter there have been lovely sunsets and sunrises. Do get better by the way and watch your health and don't end up in a bog when out walking...
Looks like a Lava flow, they must have thought the sky was on fire.
Number one hate, when the water seeps over my wellies when out on the moor, not the cold damp feeling nor the thought of skin swelling and peeling, just the squelch with every footstep
Cheers, Moss. I went out to clear the head. Worked. Yup, mindful of that peat. I intend to head to the heights now, just had to tick a last box.
The squelch with every footstep....what a lovely turn of phrase you have, sir : )
Beautiful picture. I agree with Moss, this Winter so far has been stunning. I say, roll around in that bog Spencer; splash around a bit, listen to those acoustics:)
; ) singing in the rain, me....might even do a bit of dowsing and ley hunting while I'm at it (shhh!)
