Sensational...in a literal sense. Apparently possible to smell the Bronze Age. Fabrics preserved, even. Site has to be cleared - and recreated, hopefully - as will dry out now discovered. Can't do link, but search for 'Peterborough Today Bronze Age dig in Whittlesey uncovers 3000 year old glimpse into the past' ..good photos. This discovery is of huge importance.
Yes, the site will need to be cleared. The site owners, Forterra, have put in half the project's sizeable budget money and, eventually, they'll want to quarry the land.
