There’s a structural stone to the left of the tree. I think it’s a chamber sidestone but I’m not sure. The monument is is danger of being lost forever.
Galley Low, with Minninglow behind. A good view from the green lane to the southwest. Heard my first skylarks of the year here. 15.3.2026.
A group of stones a few meters from the main monument.
2 large stones of great circle @ Stanton Drew
I was so pleased to find the Hellstone
Parked in a lay-by and followed the edge of the field till I say the stones. Stood looking out to sea and it was great
Really nice visit. I parked at the side of the road then walked up past the stones, crossed and cut back though the wood. The stones are great, it’s a shame about the road noise but it’s an amazing place to visit.
The barrow is in a commanding position in a lovely spot with great views. It’s just off the footpath through an unlocked gate. Well worth a visit.
A beautiful spring day with The Toots looking good in the sunshine. I have never seen or heard as many Skylark who were filling Selsley Common with their joyous song.
Timed selfie – to show scale (definitely not for ego…)
