Oh, and:

On the Hastings Hill page you mention the eastward alignment of Worm Hill, Penshaw and Hastings Hill. This could also suggest that Worm Hill's an artificial mound. My mate wondered if it had originally had a sort of "S" shape, a bit like the Serpent Mound in Ohio, only more tightly coiled.

Man, I'm going to have to get there!
