Aye, dating modern CnRs is a good idea, especially if they're actually in the landscape. Jan, Stan and Aron have all had enquiries from Tynesiders who thought they'd found previously unrecorded CnRs on top of a landscaped spoilheap. Admittedly it looks a bit more worn in these days and I've put a couple of extra rings on it in the last few years.

Must say I don't mind the lack of dating and if anything think it unnecesarry , if they can't be sussed , it's just our incompetence .
