but like Jane says we have to face up to the question of climate change, who is going to make the change?

Whatever alternative energies we go for, ALL have SOME impact. The question is which one has the LEAST impact. Wind? Wave? Sure isn't coal/gas/oil/nuclear.

I, for one, want electricity for my washing machine, computer, TV, DVD, lighting, cooker, fridge and hairdryer. And I'd like it to be as carbon neutrally produced as poss. If that means wind turbines, I STILL say bring 'em on.

The alternatives are... what, exactly?
