My stepson is a bad pisshead. He doesn't particularly want to be but doesn't yet know he can stop. I was talking to him a few weeks ago (he was a bit drunk at the time) and he couldn't believe that I wasn't saying "Today I will not drink". Coz to him it's a matter of will not to. To me it isn't. I've broken the connections. Rewired my brain in effect. I don't even think about it.
Sure, life can sometimes be pretty monotonous, but if you're getting drunk and doing the same stuff every night or weekend or whatever, that gets pretty samey too.
