| My serious response to this is yes, Shanshee, you're right. Any more religious invasions of societal law are not a good idea at all. As a matter of fact, I'm not comfortable with some of the notions Christianity brings with it, especially when it comes to the Revelationists and their apocolyptic wet dreams. Secular law is adequate to address disputes, if it's not being warped by special influence. Religion can never claim to not be out from under the influence of a certain collective decision.. tho it may not be an enemy of progressive causes, either. Common sense dictates that all must be considered and judged in the light of our own intellect, as this is what we possess as animals and what makes us unique.
