I could name four books and an article in a journal which gives details of how to find the polisher stone. A couple of the books even give a grid reference, but I not going to tell you all which books they are!

I think it is part of the fun going up to Fyfield Down and trying to find it without the use of books, and then the excitement, one has when they finaly get to see it for the first.

A usefull photographic image, which I used to help locate the polisher for the first time was the photo Oof Julain Cope taken at the polisher that is on the back of his Urpagan magazine, for it shows the stone in it's wider landscape setting
