Ahh, did you see that on TV as well last night - great prog! A herding tradition that goes back some 8,000 years. Amazing petroglyphs; I don't think they said how old they were but Monica Sjöö reckoned they were 4000-3500bce*

i did not see the program...not much on the tube here but politics.
i do know about the sami and that they are a lot like the plains indians of our country. even to the point of tee pee tents......

i think that you all are right in assuming that the aboriginal people in the uk must have lived a very similar life.

all in all, modern man is not very far out of that kind of existance. we are all a single gallon of gas and a single kilowat of electricity from returning to a primitive lifestyle.....
