Really nice find George, fresh looking, are they the first documented carvings in that area?..

I notice there seems to be alot of burial action going on within that area, and even more looks like another water link with Glascorrie Burn, Upper strowan Loch?..

nice one George.

gawd does he ever stop :-)

nice one George

I was thinking about this one.

If Mr Crerar realised that these were ancient, and he was kicking about in the early 1800s, it might put this panel before Old Bewick as the first one to be recognised as prehistoric.

Hello Brian , no RA or anything else recorded in the area .There is a barrow (unexcavated) about a mile away to the east and that's it . The marked rocks stretch for about a mile and go over the watershed to the west . What is striking is that Dunnottar conglomerates are the basic geology and they are almost impossible to carve on being very tough , brittle and full of pebbles , but the area has a some intrusive sandstone and that's where the markings are . The loch is unsighted as is the barrow from all the sites . The rock is reminiscent of Galloway .

You're on a roll Mr Tiompan. Absolutely top-notch stuff.

It's not built in RA-dar, it's gotta be some kind of time travel :)
