That is the thing they do look a bit uniform alright. As far as I know its farm land but it may be some factory form of farming (just a theory). Is the surrounding land just farmland? It's not some weird park planting thing is it?
Im not sure what you would keep in pins like them, I presume most factory farming would be inside in sheds etc.
