What do people think of this? Do you think they are barrows, seems like a very big concentration of them if so.

The large barrow in the north west of the is marked and known as ballinscaula. http://www.themodernantiquarian.com/site/11011/ballinascaula.html

Appreciate opinions.

Thanks

Weird! They're very uniform in size and appearance if they are barrows. They also look as if they are enclosed, e.g. with a fence around each. Several also appear to have shrubs growing on them (two or three darker dots).

Is the surrounding land just farmland? It's not some weird park planting thing is it?

The big one could be a raised rath and the little ones could be hut circles. Big settlement if it is! Big barrow cemetery if it is, too!

Love the two latest Cork wedge tombs, by the way. Definitely two for the list and a good reason to head for Cork again.
