I think "protected" in the minutes mean the discussion is protected, which is another problem.

It seems like the investigation was because of road widening and that "no damage" was seen which sort of suggests the road was intended to go near, not through. Have things changed?

It seems like it's a half-decent monument - "half dozen spaced stones protruding from the perimeter" or should we now say "was"?
