Yup, a cillín is a childrens graveyard. As Catholics believe in the original sin an unbaptised child couldn't be buried in a church graveyard as they are still 'tainted'.

The word comes from the same root as kill or church: killeen - a small church.

Many of them are in old raths or possibly henges in some cases, hence why they're mainly round.
