This is what Pastscape says:

"SK 23556215. Rock carvings found at the western end of Rawtor Rocks
appear to be prehistoric and unconnected with the late 17th/early 18thcentury transformation of the outcrop by Thomas Eyre"

and I have no reason to disagree.

Essentially that's just guess work though innit.
where's their proof, what techniques did they use to evaluate the art.
