breaks my heart, all this

I tramped all over Derbyshire in the 70s, tracking down monuments with the aid of old 2 1/2 " maps from Stockport Library, wading through waist high gorse, bracken, pissing off girlfriends, etc

last time we went to Arbor Low youngest got bitten by the infamous Arbor Low dog - various refs to it on TMA passim - great shame that no-one reaally seems to be interested in preserving it

best view I ever got of it was from a 747 en route to Florida from Gatwick via Manchester...came out of a cloud, & the clockface was right underneath, got a stiff neck watching it recede to starboard, unfortunately no camera within grabbing distance

flown into Manchester from S many times since, but have never spotted
it again...

Wow! Yeah, Ive only been to Arbor Low a couple of times and i loved it, VERY powerful place, such a shame this is happening here and to other Peak sites....is there anything that can be done???
