Hi Folks,

Just confirm that i have been in touch with John Locke the landowner, and the situation has been sorted out. I will be visiting mr Locke to see the carvings, and to discuss the new carvings i found at the time of my first visit.

As usual, the TMA Ed,(which one it was) over reacted, this matter was very easily sorted out, and indeed the statements made in the posting by one of the ED's was way off the mark. I would now like the posting made naming me to be removed immediately.

Brian

It's good that you've been in touch with the farmer and 'sorted' things out.

As for claiming that the Eds over-reacted "as usual" you know that's not true, so why post it? You know that the post was a very diluted version of the original email. Would you like us to put it on the forum so that everyone can see that there was no over-reaction and that your comment is complete rubbish?

Your name will be removed from the post. Please don't change the site's name to "Pork of Tangland" and set the grid ref to somewhere near the Isle of Man again.

Thanks

TMA Ed

Hmmm...... I found that the funniest part of this useless affair!
Go on with your good mission Brian and let the Eds Ed.

Cheers,

Jan

Thankyou for taking my name from the post.

I still feel that i am correct in saying "over reaction", Mr Locke did not have the full facts, he now has the facts. If you have sent me the email before posting i could have spoken to Mr Locke and given him details of my visit, what i did, who i spoke to etc..then this situation would not have happened.

If you want i will post my email from Mr Locke, I am sure that if you had read it, then you would not have posted the item you did.

I did ask permission at one of the houses past the farm, the owner of the house gave their permission, believing it was okay to do so.Mr Locke now understands this, and accepts that is was a error on the part of the person i asked.
I did not uncover all of the panels that were shown, most of the panels were already uncovered, with only a small section having the turf removed. The turf i removed was replaced. Mr Locke again accepts this and perhaps did not see the outcrop before my visit, which would have shown most of the rock i photographed already exposed.

I have accepted an invitation from Mr Locke, where i shall be explaining in more detail about this matter.

My main problem here is that i was not informed there was any such problem by TMA, if i had been asked about it, or if i had been given the email by Mr Locke i would have been able to resolve the matter without any problems. You accepted and posted something without having the full facts, i have not done anything wrong, i have had no apology. You may not think this is a big issue, well for me it is, the one thing i do pride myself on his have good relations with farmers, and i do ALWAYS ask before going onto private land. If i remove turf i always replace it.

You are certainly welcome to visit any site with me, observe my methods etc...
