Can i just confirm a couple of points to clarify the situation.

I entered the site after asking at one of the houses near to the site. The owner of the house gave their permission for me to go onto the land. I located the carvings using the grid refs given on Canmore, which i have since found to be incorrect. The original name for the site was Agrennan mains, which is why i drove past the farm and onto the houses further up the track and asked at one of those. I knew the carvings i found were new finds, as i have the original photos taken by the person who made the finds. I would also like to point out that i am not in the habit of ripping up turf, i may lift turf, but i always replace the turf once i have taken my pictures. I shall indeed be returning to the farm, and speaking to the farmer to clarify things with him. As everyone who knows me, knows that i always try and have a good working relationship with all the farmers i meet. Indeed without the help of the farmers i have met, you "TMA" would have far less rock art on your site. I again do not appreciate certain negative remarks being made against me!!!

I am more than a little bit speechless.

I might be biased, but to be fair Mr Ed, it's basic manners to contact the original poster if you have any issues so they can be discussed in private.

Quite apart from the details of the comments, I would have thought you'd know by now how these things can flare up and you could have approached the whole thing better

Don't take it to heart Wolfie. I for one appreciate all the rock-art you stick on TMA. Your images are superb and your descriptions clear and straightforward. Don't let the buggers get y' down mate. Pleeeeez - keep up your excellent work.

An email may have been sent out. There is a possibility that it got caught up and lost in the Eds email address change. I am not entirely sure at this point in time.

A full copy of the email from the farmer will be sent to yourself ASAP.

Thanks

(A different) TMA Ed

Has the site just dissapeared from tma?

If so then: 'Oh Poo...' :(

I'm hoping Wolfy and the Eds are sorting this out amicably off-forum (as would seem sensible).

Hi Folks,

Just confirm that i have been in touch with John Locke the landowner, and the situation has been sorted out. I will be visiting mr Locke to see the carvings, and to discuss the new carvings i found at the time of my first visit.

As usual, the TMA Ed,(which one it was) over reacted, this matter was very easily sorted out, and indeed the statements made in the posting by one of the ED's was way off the mark. I would now like the posting made naming me to be removed immediately.
