We had Hail in August while trudging across barren moorland (and you better believe there is a lot of that)

I got my (now) ex some earrings in the shape of a crescent moon with the calanish stones in the middle - I thought they were the best thing I had ever seen - she hated them!!! Oh well no accounting for taste.

Cool things to see. If you get bored with the stones (how could you) make a trip to southerly Harris to visit the Beaches - Looks like Barbados (but feels like Iceland)

The moonscapes of Harris are worth a look too.
