bristol to auchterhouse is a fair skelp (templemeads?),and even templelands to auchterhouse is 2 miles, all uphill , the balbeuchly incline was a big problem for the railway engineers of the time never mind dragging stanes up it . seriously though the site , if genuine is not to be mistaken for anything discovered previously ,there was a stone circle about a mile to the N.W. also with a cist nearby but both are lost. i have a feeling it may well be the work of a "stoney" landscaper but hope not.

Oops , sorry , Templelands . Still could be (some) of that circle moved - folly a grandeur so to speak . If genuine it would be nice if you could tell RCAHMS about it , even if you don't add to the NMRS collection with your images it is a site missing from CANMORE .
