A Clyde Cairn?

Yes , the Clyde cairn is most definitely a recognised type :
Almost without exception of stone . Rectangular with side slabs often leading to a telescopic effect .
Very little corbelling - capstone usually directly on orthostats .
Transverse septal slabs half chamber height dividing it .
Floor sometimes cobbled or paved .
(cribbing from Megaw & Simpson's "Introduction to British Prehistory" )

Thanks. You also mentioned a possible shallow forecourt. Is this a common feature?

Just noticed the book you cribbed from. Just got (reprint from amazon) Miranda Green's The Gods of the Celts and she mentions two books and a couple of articles written by Megaw and Simpson (1970s) is the book any good?
